Welcome to Blackheath Quaker Meeting

Quakers believe "that of God" is present in every person. We meet together in the quiet to deepen our awareness and find the inward source of our strength.

We try to live simply and sustainably and to trust in love. Putting our faith into action is at the heart of our life and we work towards peace, equality and justice.

Everyone is welcome to join us on Sunday mornings from 10.30 to 11.30
at Blackheath Quaker Meeting House, Lawn Terrace, Blackheath, London SE3 9LL.

“Each of us has a particular experience of God and each must find the way to be true to it.”

Important update 08 September 2020

Dear Friends
The meeting house in Lawn Terrace will re-open on Sunday 13 September for Meeting for Worship. Numbers are limited, and advance booking is essential. You can request a place by email to blackheathquakers@gmail.com or telephone or text to Margaret Cummins.

In the meantime, we will continue to hold virtual meetings for worship on Sunday from 10.30 to 11.30 as usual and additionally on Wednesday evenings from 19.30 to 20.00. You are welcome to join us. Please contact us at the email address below. Let us know who you are and we will reply with an invitation.

Some of us also sit quietly by ourselves at these times, prayerfully aware that other F/friends from our local meetings and across the country are doing the same. We can keep the silence in our usual way and hold one another in the Light.

Woodbrooke Quaker Study Centre has online meetings for worship several times a week that are open to all. See here for details.

Stay well, Friends
