Welcome to Blackheath Quaker Meeting

Quakers believe "that of God" is present in every person. We meet together in the quiet to deepen our awareness and find the inward source of our strength.

We try to live simply and sustainably and to trust in love. Putting our faith into action is at the heart of our life and we work towards peace, equality and justice.

Please see below for how to worship with us either online or at the Meeting House.

“Each of us has a particular experience of God and each must find the way to be true to it.”

Important update 05 October 2020

Dear Friends
The meeting house in Lawn Terrace is now open for Meeting for Worship on Sundays in compliance with the COVID19 regulations. Numbers are limited, and advance booking is essential. You can request a place by email to blackheathquakers@gmail.com, or telephone or text to Margaret Cummins if you are already a member or an attender.

We also continue to hold online meetings for worship on:
  • Sunday mornings from 10.30 to 11.30 and
  • Wednesday evenings from 19.30 to 20.00.
You are welcome to join us. Please contact us at the email address below for login details.

Some of us also sit quietly by ourselves at these times, prayerfully aware that other F/friends from our local meetings and across the country are doing the same. We can keep the silence in our usual way and hold one another in the Light.

Woodbrooke Quaker Study Centre has online meetings for worship several times a week that are open to all. See here for details.

Stay well, Friends
